Identify each article and its weight basis

BIS guidance for hallmarked articles calls for separate identification of each article, net precious-metal weight, purity and hallmarking charges. The example gives each article its own line; it does not certify those details.

Check both article amounts

The chain calculation is 4 g × INR 7,000 + INR 800 making + INR 45 hallmarking = INR 28,845. The silver article is 10 g × INR 80 + INR 100 making + INR 45 hallmarking = INR 945. Together they total INR 29,790 before any separately reviewed tax. These are fictional prices and charges, not current metal rates or official hallmarking fees.

When the bill needs more detail

Stone value, gross-to-net deductions, wastage, exchanges and old-gold adjustments need additional fields and reviewed calculations. The supplied workbook does not calculate these cases.

Enter weights and charges in the chosen file

In the Excel Blank sheet, enter the net weight, rate, making charge and hallmarking charge for each article. Formulas calculate the metal amount and add the entered charges. Word amounts are manual; the PDFs are fixed copies. Check the actual article records and applicable tax before issuing.

Common questions

Does the file use live gold or silver prices?

No. Enter the actual agreed rate. The example prices are fictional and must not be treated as a current rate feed.

Does entering a HUID confirm authenticity?

No. Use the relevant official verification process for a real article. This template only records a supplied reference.
